This Buyer/Supplier Mixer event series is organized by the Metro Chicago Good Food Purchasing Initiative (GFPI), a regional effort to ensure that the places that feed our communities purchase food that advances a good food system for all. The Metro Chicago Good Food Purchasing Initiative is part of a broader national movement to develop good food systems that provide healthy, fair, local, humane, and sustainable food through racially equitable, transparent, and accountable supply chains. Metro Chicago GFPI partners are working to:

Assist city and county institutions develop and implement Good Food Purchasing standards
Grow equitable local supply chains
Build a culture of good food that normalizes values-based purchasing practices and engages community
