About
Shelby Brand is a second-year Master of Public Health candidate at UIC School of Public Health in the Division of Environmental and Occupational Health Sciences with a traineeship in Occupational Safety through the NIOSH-funded Great Lakes Center for Occupational Health and Safety. Her interests lie in ensuring safety and wellbeing for employees with disabilities and investigating the high unemployment rates of people with disabilities.
In addition to working with the Center for Healthy Work’s Communications and Outreach Group, Shelby is the Disability Equality Index and Global Disability Equality Index Intern at Disability:IN, the leading nonprofit resource for business disability inclusion worldwide.
