About
Since 2017, Sylvia has served as a staff member on the Greater Lawndale Healthy Work Project. She assists with knowledge translation, intervention development, dissemination of findings, and evaluation. Before joining the GLHW Project, she worked on immigrant rights campaigns, youth advocacy projects, and labor rights initiatives in Minneapolis, MN. Sylvia has a Master of Public Health from the University of Illinois Chicago and a Doctorate of Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine from the Pacific College of Health & Science. Sylvia is passionate about providing trauma-informed and healing-centered approaches in both her clinical acupuncture practice and public health work.
