About
August Griffin is an MPH candidate in the School of Public Health at the University of Illinois at Chicago. His focus area is Environmental Health and Occupational Safety with a concentration in occupational safety. Knowing the risks and problems facing an often-neglected working community, he has decided to focus on eliminating these issues through systematic approaches. He has been a part of numerous projects during his academic career they have ranged from negative outcomes of adverse childhood experiences to a review of chemical limit exposures and specific negative outcomes. While at UIC, August has volunteered with SAPHE (Student Alliance for Public Health and the Environment) and held multiple positions within different committees and organizations.
