Berlin Nightclub Workers Call For Boycott As They Fight For Contract
Workers at the Berlin Nightclub in Chicago are asking customers to boycott the popular LGBTQ+ bar until they negotiate their first contract as unionized workers.
According to the workers and Unite Here Local 1 union representatives, Berlin's owners have not been attending meetings or communicating with the workers, and have recently rejected requests for wage or benefit increases beyond the legal minimum wage as well as employee health insurance.
